What 13,254 drawings actually show

Original studies built from the complete Florida Fantasy 5 record, 1989 to 2026. Plain language, full method, and the results that work against us too.

Woozul keeps a validated record of every Florida Fantasy 5 drawing since 1989 — 13,254 draws — and tests it the way a statistician would, not the way a lottery blog would. These pages publish what that testing found. Some of it is useful. Some of it contradicts the way lottery numbers are usually sold. We publish both.

The studies

Is Florida Fantasy 5 actually fair?

Every era of the game tested for bias, number by number. 13,254 draws, four matrix eras, one chi-squared test each.

Do hot numbers stay hot?

The most common claim in the lottery world, measured across 51,375 chances: the hottest numbers of the last 100 draws took 27.8% of what came next, against 27.8% expected.

What a real drawing looks like

Individual numbers are fair, but the combinations that come out are not shaped like the combinations people pick. Sums, spreads, odd/even splits and runs across 10,397 draws of the current 5/36 game.

Birthday tickets and other habits

How often the real record matches the ways people actually fill in a slip: all numbers 31 or under, all odd, five in a row.

How we work

Three rules. Use the official record, not a scraped summary. Say the sample size and the test, so anyone can check the work. Publish results that hurt us — the hot-number study is the clearest example, because "hot numbers" is exactly the idea most lottery products are sold on.

Where the data comes from

Florida Lottery official Fantasy 5 results, 13,254 draws from 1989-05-02 to 2026-08-10, validated for completeness and tagged by matrix era and draw type. The figures on this page are produced by a script that runs against that record, so they can be recomputed from the same source at any time. Last updated September 22, 2026.

What this does not mean. Nothing on this page improves anyone's chance of winning. Every draw is independent, and a fair game cannot be beaten by studying it. We publish these results because they are true, including the parts that work against our own product.

Founder of Woozul, who built the drawing archive this page is computed from and ran the analysis on it. Every figure here is computed by script from the record named on this page — none of it is typed in by hand — so anyone with the same source can recompute it and get the same answer. Woozul publishes findings that work against its own product, including the finding that hot numbers do not stay hot.
